A 1947 Nettie Rosenstein dress photographed by Toni Frissell. I can see the Washington monument in the background, so this is obviously photographed in Washington, DC. Given the view of a lake, monument position and the marble floor, I’d say this was taken at the Jefferson Memorial.

Vivien Leigh as “Cleopatra” in the film Caesar and Cleopatra (1945). During filming, Leigh discovered she was pregnant. Soon after the big news she suffered a miscarriage, which might’ve been due to treatments for a recent case of tuberculosis in her left lung. Already suffering from uncontrollable violent outbursts and great stress from an unknown mental condition everyone preferred to ignore (mental problems that plagued women were viewed as taboo and shameful), Leigh spiraled into depression after the loss.
